commands – user password
Change a user’s password.
Usage
user password name password
where
| name | of user whose password to change. Default is user running command. | |
| password | New password for user. | |
| If password is in the format env:name, then the password will be read from the enviroment variable name. | ||
| If password is in the format file:filename, then the password will be read from filename, unless: | ||
| filename is in the format name.yaml, then the password will be value of the name key within the YAML formatted file, or: | ||
| filename is .env or starts with .env., then password will be the value of the the name key within the environment variable file. | ||
- admin on /_beyondcron/users, if changing another users password.
- write on /_beyondcron/password/file for file passwords.
this command is disabled when a user service is enabled.
Example
Change ones own password
BeyondCron % user password secret!
Change another user’s password
BeyondCron % user password jsmith secret!
